What is EPA Certified?

Beginning in April 2010, anyone who renovates a structure built prior to 1978 needs to be certified by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in lead-safe work practices. While there are a few exceptions to the law, this means that almost every professional who does any phase of older home renovation must be trained and receive certification by the EPA.
